Why we built it
French Tarot is hard to learn alone.
Most apps are ready once you already know the game. They give you a table, opponents and a score — but very little help with the journey from reading the rules to making good decisions.
Donne du Jour is the learning path we wished already existed. It introduces one idea at a time, shows it in a real deal, lets you try the decision yourself, and then carries that understanding into guided and independent play.
Our first learning app
Quietmill Apps is a small independent software studio that makes focused apps with care. Donne du Jour is our first learning app.
French Tarot belongs to its players, clubs and teachers. Their experience is how we will judge whether we have taught it properly.

Lessons and demonstrations
Meet the deck, bids, chien, écart, obligations and scoring in order, then watch each idea unfold card by card.
Quizzes and decision exercises
Choose between concrete alternatives and see why one play changes the next trick, rather than memorising a slogan.
Guided deals
Play a complete teaching deal with help at the decisions that matter. A correction explains the table, not merely the answer.
Practice games
Take the training wheels off gradually and play full deals against the table, with a limited number of hints when you need them.
Daily Deal
Everyone receives the same four-player deal each day, keeping one shared challenge and one comparable score.
English and French
Learn and play in either language, with French Tarot terminology preserved rather than replaced by generic card-game language.
